Setting Working Parameters
Changing job settings is a normal part of interacting with the Router-CIM Automation Suite and you can change a majority of the settings directly from the job window with the job selected.
You will notice that there are several tabs across the top of the job settings window. These tabs hold various settings that may need to be changed from one run of a job to the next. All of the settings in a job may be stored as defaults so that they are the normal setting used when a new job is created.
For the purpose of this sample, we will change the quantity of one of the parts and the material for all of the parts.
Changing a part quantity Select the first part in the job window.
There are two ways to change the quantity. You can change the entry here in the job window by clicking on the quantity, and then clicking on it again to get the cursor in that field and then changing the value. For this example, we will change it to 6.
Or, you can double-click on a part and the Part Properties window will open where you can change the value.
Either click on the number for Quantity and type in a value or select the arrows next to the value to increase or decrease the number. For this example, we will change the quantity to 6.
The click on the OK button to return to the job window.
Changing the Material To change the material for all the parts in the job, we will have to select all the parts and then go to the Part Properties window and change the material. In order to select all the parts, select the first one in the job, then while holding down the SHIFT key, select the last part in the job. All the parts should now be highlighted.
Then select Part Properties from the toolbar above the job window.
This will open the Part Properties window. You will see the material listed as 1/2 Birch Ply. Select the arrow next to the material and from the list, select 1/2 Maple Ply.
Then select OK from the Part Properties window to return to the job.
Now all the parts have 1/2 Maple Ply selected as their material.
Next you will run the job and get the results
