Linear Pocketing Ramp is identical to Linear Pocket, except that the tool will be forced to ramp into the material at the start of the cut. The resulting tool path will show a ramping lead in like this:
Here the lead-in (black line) is ramping into the material instead of plunging at the beginning of the cut. This may result in less tool wear in certain materials.
There are no special settings involved with this cycle, however, all the other cycle parameters listed for Linear Pocket apply. |
