Often, there are many parts in an assembly that are duplicates of other parts in an assembly.
Solid-CIM 3D only needs to work with unique parts. Any parts that are duplicates of a unique part will receive all the information applied to the unique part.
Hiding duplicates will remove the duplicate parts from the screen display.
Hide Duplicates is a toggle. When part duplicates are hidden this option will change to Show Duplicates.
The figure shown has all part duplicates hidden. These are the unique parts that need a name and material assigned.
Solid-CIM 3D supports the Right-Click context menu. While in the SCIM command, use Right-Click context menu to access current options in SCIM.
After hiding the duplicates Exit the SCIM command.
The Object Property Manager (OPM) can be used to name the parts.
