Reverse Cut Side

Solid-CIM 3D Toolbar Icon: Reverse_Cut_Side_Icon_TB

Solid-CIM 3D Ribbon Icon: Reverse_Cut_Side_Icon

This is an optional step if you have a special need to have a specific side of the part to be the Cut Side (top) when positioned for cutting, and Solid-CIM 3D has selected the opposite side.

To reverse the cut side, select:

SCIM>Reverse Cut Side> Select Parts to Reverse Cut Side Up

Select the desired parts to reverse the cut side.

Each part will change which hatch is displayed indicating the cut side of the part.

If a part selected to be reversed was a duplicate of another part, the reversed part will no longer be a duplicate since the cut side has been changed.

If the cut side results in cutting activity on the back side, Solid-CIM 3D will identify that part has requiring Back Side cutting.

Note: In this example cabinet, if two of the vertical doors were changed so the cut side agreed with the other two doors, two door parts would be determined by Solid-CIM 3D. Two doors would have thru holes on the left side of the door and two doors would have thru holes on the right side of the door. The cut side would be all to the outside or inside depending on the selection of the cut side.

If a wrong part has been selected or the wrong side determined, use the option again to reverse the cut side.

Solid-CIM 3D will maintain which parts are duplicates and which are not no matter how many times this option is used.
